Inspiration Behind Run with Endurance

Run with Endurance is inspired by Hebrews 12:1-2, which calls believers to lay aside every weight and sin and run the race set before us with perseverance, fixing our eyes on Jesus.

Life is often described as a race, but it’s not a sprint—it’s a marathon of faith. There are obstacles, distractions, and moments of exhaustion, yet we are urged to keep pressing forward, trusting that God is our strength. This song is a rallying cry for those who feel weary, discouraged, or tempted to give up.

Like a runner who pushes past fatigue to reach the finish line, we must press on in faith, knowing that God’s grace sustains us, His Spirit empowers us, and His promises give us hope.

This song reminds us that the race is worth it, because Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, is waiting at the finish line. With every step, we are running not for earthly rewards, but for an eternal prize—life with Him forever.

Lyrics

This road is long, this race is hard,
But I press on with all my heart.
The prize is set, the goal is near,
I will not stop, I will not fear.

I fix my eyes on Jesus’ grace,
He leads me forward, He sets my pace.

I will run with endurance, I will stand in Your might,
Through the trials, through the fire, I will shine Your light.
Not by power, not by strength, but by faith I go,
I will run with endurance till I reach my home.

When the weight is heavy, when I feel alone,
Your voice reminds me, I am known.
You walk beside me, You lift me up,
Your mercy fills my empty cup.

Though I may stumble, though I may fall,
Your hand upholds me through it all.
I press ahead, I won’t look back,
Your strength will keep me on this track.

I will run with endurance, I will stand in Your might,
Through the trials, through the fire, I will shine Your light.
Not by power, not by strength, but by faith I go,
I will run with endurance till I reach my home.

The finish line is drawing near,
No more sorrow, no more fear.
I’ll run this race till victory’s won,
Till I hear, “Well done, My son.”
